The Queen’s Jubilee was a perfect opportunity to bring our customers, suppliers, and colleagues together for one big celebration. Across a joint media plan, our team built an event to remember for a historic occasion.

Retailainment was a huge focus for this event, as we wanted our customers to get involved and stop them in their tracks in-store and online. Our media offering was the biggest it’s ever been with the opportunity for suppliers to get involved sponsoring foyer games, in-store sampling, featuring on our promo cube, a virtual reality hunt and more.

Joining us at Asda House were a few famous Corgi’s from Urban Paws, who have featured on The Crown on Netflix and were enjoying some well-deserved attention from colleagues and their families.

The Jubilee Tour was a great success and gained lots of attention from our customers due to the sampling going on in store. This was a great initiative for our suppliers to get new products out there and to engage customers with their takes on the Jubilee. Lamqueenie being a personal favourite!

We have also entered the world of virtual reality! Customers were getting involved in the ‘Find the Jewel’ game that was going on around store, by simply downloading the APP and start hunting! We offered great prizes, again sponsored by our suppliers for those that completed the game, and who knew tea towels would be so well received as a prize?!

We want to thank all of our suppliers that got involved with this event, it was a stand-out event that will be remembered in our portfolio. Here’s to 80 years!
